About me

I have been teaching lower elementary for over 20 years. I began my career in California as a third grade teacher. I then moved, and fully enjoyed, some years in kindergarten. My last year in California was spent teaching in, and running, the technology lab. It was a wonderful experience having every student on campus in my lab. I worked with 750 students a week as they came through with their teachers. I thoroughly enjoyed teaching both students and staff how to use technology as a tool to advance educational goals. I moved to Oregon, with my wife, son, and dogs in 2016. I am back to my roots, teaching third grade, here and I love living in the Pacific Northwest. In 2017 I was named Regional Teacher of the Year for the state of Oregon. These posts are my own and do not reflect on the school district I teach for.
